Shirecliffe remand Home sheffield in the 1950s/1960s officers were able to carry out regular daily abuse on inmates without being monitored by the Home Office and checks were not carried out to make sure that shirecliffe was ran in a proper manner,myself and other inmates have been left traumatised.The Home Office should now accept this and the actions by Officers at Shirecliffe Remand was illegal and that the Home Office failed in its duty to protect inmates,although nothing can be done now,a public apologie by the Government would at least go someway and bring some closure to the harm that was done.
