With two dogs a night dog park would be priceless as we both work full time & can't get there until the weekend....

this seems likely a logical investment to maximise benefit of this facility for the community.

I work full time so during the week the only time I can get down there is after dark mostly. Lights would be fantastic for my safety and my dogs.

At this time of the year it is almost total darkness at approx. 5:30pm and getting darker every day.
The high mast light that was installed at the entrance to the dog park gives great light to approximately a quarter of the dog park. However, most people walk with their dogs around the inside of the fence and therefore use the entire park. The problem is that three quarters of the park is in total darkness. You can easily see this if you visit the park at this time.
As the electrical conduits have already been installed two thirds of the distance down the park, it would be straight forward to install a small pole and low power light. The light would not affect the house at the back of the park as it is too far away and much less powerful compared to the existing front light.
This simple addition would not be a huge cost to the council but would give tremendous benefit to all the people using the park.

We have been visiting the park since before it was even fenced. If it had another light we would able to see if/where our dogs have done their business. Also it would be safer as many people work late or start early and find it hard to see.

We all want to use the dog park as much as possible and another light means that we can do so with due regard to health and safety for ourselves and other users.

For the safety & security of local dogs & their owners the completion of installing the second light is much needed especially as dogs are only permitted to be off leash in these areas
