With newer animation and a more faithful adaptation of the light novel plot, this series could easily be reinvigorated. The seiyuu are all still active, the characters are some of the most compelling in any LN series I've read, and if the animation stayed faithful to the art of Temari Mastumoto then you can't go wrong.

Signing this because even I want something new from this series, I love their adventures and comedy but I just want to point out to those mentioning about "homosexual relationship" that Yuuri and Wolfram don't have a "healthy" relationship, people who are used to BL most probably won't understand this since they are already used to watching Stockholm syndrome, romanticized rape and other horrible things all in the name of romance, compared to that what Wolfram does certainly pales in comparison but it doesn't make it any better. BL is written by women for women, basically female fantasies (there is something called "bara" which is written by gay men). It takes two to make a relationship, but what is happening here is Wolfram is persistently pursuing a relationship born out of a mistake while Yuuri himself keeps on claiming to be straight. Constantly nagging, shouting and even hitting a straight guy is the worst way to make him "come out". Wolfram is a everyone's favorite bishounen, fine but you need to look at Yuuri's side of things as well. There are other anime out there which handle LGBT content in a much better way.
