We need to hit the 250 signature threshold before the next school board meeting. Having this specific total will ensure our petition is entered into the official record for public review.

My son loves the choices, the opportunities, and the time devoted to all his interests. with the schedule as it is, he CAN do it all. Change the schedule and you will not close doors for him, but slam them and create avoidable stress for all students who enjoy more than academics. Develop the whole child, during the school day. the schedule is not broken, so don't try to fix it. And don't break it.
Starting earlier and extending the day in an awkward way will give kids more stress, anxiety, and sleepless nights, more than 7:30 already does. You keep moving our time back, when the study shows that high schoolers should not start till 8:30. I get that is hard to do, but there is NO reason to go early. Not to mention you're cutting down students chances to get ahead of the games for colleges, and if we cut clubs, college applications look boring and plain.
With the inability to take more classes, and the fact that some things will be after school, I feel as if students who can't stay after school because they need to take a sibling off a bus or do extracurricular activities will be hindered from getting into top colleges.
Rumor has it that the new schedule change will limit electives and classes we can take which I think is ridiculous, compared to my other school I feel we already have limited electives and extra classes to chose from. This is only hurting us
There used to be a 8 period schedule a while ago but then it was changed to 9 because of many conflicts. It makes no sense to go back to an 8 period schedule when there's just going to be conflicts again

First, their takin away our electives which help us decide who we want to e alter in life as second, they aren't the ones taking electives or the common core classes. And thirdly, there will be fewer teachers and fewer students. This is stupid

Cutting back one period may not seem like much but for some, this is four possible credits/classes that are going right out the window. It just seems that fewer people would be able to graduate as early or make off with as many credits as past students.
