The people of Shenandoah County, Va, should be allowed or not allowed to make this change...not five members of the School Board.

If we can't pay teachers more or purchase needed stuff for schools. But can just magically supply 550000 for a name change. And name changes will not fix people's hearts. I went to and graduated and I am a proud non rascist General. Put that money towards actually doing something that will help this will cause more division and anger.

why should Shenandoah County tax payers have to have to pay a couple million dollars in taxes just because some one was offended by a name of a High School deal with it was,'t hurting a thing an an what people complained about was over 160 years ago move forward this crap is stupid .

I feel since the taxpayers are footing the bill for this, we should have a little say in how our tax dollars are spent, not just this decision but any decision where a certain $ amount is being spent. We would be happy to allocate $ to things that take priority over some decisions that are being made presently and have been made in the past...is the best interest being put forth for ALL the students at this time?
