It’s a complete waste of our tax payer money. He was an important part of our history, not an insult to anyone. Changing the name of our school because a few are offended offends me.

Do not change the names of the schools. The taxpayers of Shenandoah Co should vote on this

What is wrong with people this is history they are changing I feel this is getting out of hand

Its our history. Leave it alone. Worry about the future not to change the past!

This is our county and many residents here have generations of family that made this county what it is through blood, sweat and tears to take away our beliefs (naming the schools) gives you no right to change them. It should be decided by the choice of the people of this county!

Elected officials are to listen to the majority of the ones who put them their!!

I believe the racism within the school system needs to be dealt with the students directly, changing the name of the school will do nothing but cause an uproar among the locals and past graduates as well as wasting $500,000 in taxpayer dollars. Many local donators (your biggest donator) have voiced their opinion and will no longer make future donations if the name is changed.

I don’t the name should be changed

1968 Graduate of SJHS. Proud General. Who is going to fund this? If Country residents can't vote on this, they shouldn't have to pay the outrageous cost of changing name.

Only the liberal snowflakes have a problem with our county. Time to replace the "move ins" with county folk that were no n and raised here.

There many other more important things that need to change and not waste our tax dollars. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. The name does not educate the teachers do and not all the teachers are qualified to do this if they are putting this much emphasis on the name of a school. Let’s put our money where it belongs, on educating not wasted on name changes.
