Since summer 2011, Sheffield Hallam University have chosen to remove sanitary bins from the cubicles in the women's toilets across the campuses. Instead they say that one bin out near the bins is suitable. This is an issue that affects all women at Hallam, and staff. The law states that "Suitable and sufficient sanitary conveniences shall be provided at readily accessible places.". We believe that one bin outside the cubicles is not "readily accessible" and even discriminates against those with mobility issues. All women should have the right to privacy if they want it.
