Please support this nomination petition providing me the opportunity to run for a second term as ATF-Oregon Executive Council Secretary. I hope to continue to be part of the Executive Council that will continue to advocate for and support will support the AFT-President and will represent and support all Locals in efforts to create a strong and Healthy work environment.

During the past years as AFT-Oregon Secretary, I have played a role in helping guide the Union through the drastic changes imposed by the pandemic and the continued shift in the national acts on Unions and union organizing. One of the major goals of AFT-Oregon, as expressed by a majority of Locals, is a strong and effective advocacy in Salem for issues that impact education. Our advocacy efforts within the State legislature has contributed in Oregon being one of the few states that has actually strengthened the position of Unions and has passed several bills that were strongly supported by AFT-OR.

As part of my efforts as Secretary, I was nominated and accepted to the AFT-National Climate Change Task Force, working on advocacy for Greening schools, communities, and States. if elected, I will be in position to continue this work and make sure that the resolutions, ideas, and solutions developed by members of AFT-Or are heard and acted on at the National level.
