Simmons needs to uphold the promises that it makes to it's students. If the President of the college constantly talks about how proud she is of the atheletics department and truly believes what she is saying, she should stand with her students. It is deplorable at the amount of space Simmons students already have to share with other colleges and it's time to finally have something that belongs to its students.

In this day and age, it's deplorable that women teams still take a back seat to the men's teams. Chapter 9 law, passed in 1971, guaranteed equal rights and opportunities for women in sports. Ask the men's team to give up their locker room!

This is the 21st century. Women's collegiate sports shouldn't have to accommodate high school boys' sports. Enough!

As a first year student athlete here at Simmons I'm still learning the ropes of college, and figuring out how to juggle both my academic and athletic commitment. Luckily, as an athlete here at Simmons I have been welcomed into a team I seriously can call family. I remember the first day of preseason walking into the Team Room and already feeling like I was a part of the team. The whole layout of the room, from the logo on the chairs to the Simmons blue locker - every aspect made the area feel more like home. Personally, this feeling of a home is something I know I would love to have at the Daly Field facility. Having a place to mentally prepare for games, and practice is important, and the facility would feel more like home if we were able to permanently display our logo, leave our equipment, etc.

This is yet another disappointment along with the parking for spectators.

Sell the compex to Brighton and go back to the Longwood Ave. field You have no parking , no stands, the scoreboard is facing the tennis courts. No food or drink allow. Your campus is miles away. If we bring our own chairs we can't see the action.

I find this situation extremely disturbing and not what was put to us the parents of the female athletes of Simmons College. We were willing to accept the increased everyday travel time our daughters were asked to commit to their sports do to the location given that they would finally have a true home field to call their own. I find this unacceptable and will be following this closely and following this up with the athletic department as well has the entire administration of Simmons College.

I am outraged at this news! Simmons parents have been "sold" on the idea of these fields for the past 2 years by administration. Despite our concerns about the travel distance and subsequent impact on our daughter's schedules, we have been told these fields are in the best of interest of Simmons athletics. Now our girls are expected to take a backseat to Brighton's visiting teams? Will Brighton's football team be forced to share their locker room with Simmons' visiting teams? Come on Simmons administration, do the right thing. Put our girls first!

Respect the space of Simmons College athletes, not some high school football team's desires.

The field is great but we are being shortchanged on the stands and the goalpost can't be seen from the useable sidelines. This is yet another problem that wasn't thought out.
