With global warning and greenhouse gas emissions on the rise. Don't you think it's about time we as a nation start to do something about it? Who wants their trash taken to a dump just to sit there taking years to decompose? Not me. What if instead of charging us for items to be recycled and trash to be thrown away we establish a particular service. What type of service you ask. Pay for the trash you only put out (that'll get more people in the habit of recycling). You can simply drive to the Recycling Center. I understand that in order for the Recycling Centers to have good turnover they have to make their funds somewhere, why not start local companies who are environmentally conscious to pay them for the recycled tin cans, glass, cardboard. It costs more to make a brand new soup can made from tin by scratch, then it does with a recycled one. Again, more profit for everyone. How about with what I stated above we make it a law. Composting is even more beneficial. There are tons of things you can compost and recycle. With trash services comes a person to help you start your composting. So, in conclusion start a service where the trash company picks up your trash but only charges by the pound what you throw out. They can also pick up your recycling. My point is. STOP polluting the land field's with items that can do so much more, starting their second life elsewhere. If this was to go into effect and everyone recycled, composted, payed for ONLY the trash put out, there would be a decrease in pollutants. Another thing to invest in would be solar-photovoltaic panels. Cheaper electricity bill. Who wouldn't want that. If you're for this petition, please sign it and pass it along.
