The developers finally backed down and reversed the planned changes to Shadowmeld. It took months of pushing back against this unfair adjustment but we forced them to listen. Keep your eyes on the next patch notes just to be sure they stay true to their word.
To the Blizzard Development Team:
Like many Night Elf players in World of Warcraft, I chose the race based mainly on its ability to shadow meld. As a hunter the Shadow Meld to Aimed Shot was a big advantage in PVP. Blizzard is planning on nerfing Shadow Meld, so that it not only deactivates when Aimed Shot or Charge is first activated, which are debatable over powered abilities, but also deactivates when eating, drinking, or mounting.
This is an immense nerf and provides further proof that Blizzard developers are Horde friendly. Most alliance racial abilities are farcical at best. Even Shadow Meld is useless once in combat. The Horde
The developers are still ignoring us while the pressure builds. We are almost at one hundred signatures and reaching that mark is the only way they might finally hear our frustration.

Blizzard devs are clearly horde biased. Been playing since vanilla and this is the worst change yet.
