Born and raised in Perth, have lived in Smiths Falls for the past five years. Was thinking of moving back to Perth but not if they treat hard working store owners like this.

Shadowfax has been a part of Perth for as long as I can remember. As one of the heritage businesses in this beautiful town Shadowfax is a huge draw for downtown shopping. Also Shadowfax supports local talent and gives back to the community a great deal. I agree with the paint expert, outdoor paint can take some time to cure, and once it cures properly it will be more subtle. Personally I love the inviting dynamic and beautiful colours of the Shadowfax storefront. It is inviting to shoppers and explorers of the town. Please give the colours time to cure instead of rashly trying to inhibit businesses from enhancing storefronts and ultimately the town of Perth itself.

I think this is crazy! I love the colours of the store and how they brighten up Perth. I also think the town could broaden their colour palate as there are many wonderful heritage colours out there!

Keep the paint, I just made a trip back to Westport from Cape Breton, noticed the store right away, looks SO great, brightens up the street, more stores need to do the same thing.

Perth's heritage policy states: " are not intended to be overly restrictive, cumbersome or an imposition on property rights. They provide the opportunity to retain and enhance the area’s most unique and attractive features for the overall benefit of the community as a whole." Shadowfax does this in spades! Threatening business owners is an imposition on their rights

It's 2017 folks, time to get with the times and spruce up the downtown instead of boring old colours.

I drive and deliver in the beautiful town of Perth. This little town has alot of neat little places that attract younger generation and active older folks.top shelf, Perth brewery all the cool little pubs down town and lots of weddings. You'd think this town was all for showing it's colours and showing off how lively it is. Shadow fax is one of these places that I think is going in the right direction. It's an absolute pleasure going in and it's so very welcoming. It be nice to see the town back that up instead of killing the great vibe I thought it had.

We should be worried about the store fronts that need to be fixed up! Not the small business owners that are trying to make our streets look better.

Drive by this place a lot. It stands out and that’s a good thing. I can’t believe people want this business painted.

Born and raised in Perth. Cannot believe what I'm hearing about the town being ridiculous over paint colours.

There are many more important issues to deal with. Paint colour seems petty. Especially given the history behind. Do corporate colours (ie banks) get penalized for not complying?

It's been around forever. It's why I come to Perth. Love the paint job.
