There is nothing wrong with the colours it brightens up the street and attracts people to go in. Unlike the Golden Arrow next door that could use a new paint job. Its dark uninviting and looks like a dive with its black peeling paint.. Why aren't they being told or harassed about their restaurant front .

I like the combination of colours and think it will brighten your beautiful town that I have visited in the past.

There are more important issues to debate and far worse storefronts in the town of Perth. Leave Shadowfax alone and concentrate on something more worthy of tax payers' dollars!

I think the colours of Shadowfax add to the beauty of the heritage. If you look at other stores on the street you will see similar colours which you have allowed. Give it time to cure and weather so it’s true beauty can be seen. If you change one storefront colour then you had better be prepared to change them all. Perth has always been know to me for what it has to offer and it’s beautiful heritage buildings. City girl grew up to be small town and country girl and Perth has always been a big part of my life.

Shadowfax has its own heritage in Perth! I may not have grown up in Perth, but it IS my second home as I spent all of my summers growing up there!

The intent to achieve "heritage" colors has not been executed consistently on that entire street. Shadowfax is a meticulously kept storefront and the new colours a breath of fresh air.

My grandfather went to war so people could have freedom, not to have municipalities and towns dictate what color they paint there store front.

Seriously Perth do you want to drive a thriving successful business out of town? The colours grab your attention like the first flower of the year in an otherwise bleek landscape. If anything encourage other shops to be bold and beautiful too! You can be historic and not look dead... Europe, Newfoundland, Montreal, etc etc etc are great examples of places that embrace both colour, history and *gasp* progress
