SFUSD Families Support a Fair Contract for Teachers and Staff

It’s embarrassing that in SF staffing issues are partly due to low wages. Pay the teachers and staff the salaries they deserve.

Teachers deserve to be paid as much as they are asking and more. They go above and beyond to ensure our children feel safe and supported while getting a proper education.

If SF wants to thrive, education should be a priority and big investment is needed

I agree with this and I totally agree with the with what is said about the school’s condition because I ask a parent of a SFUSD student notice, watch and look at the whole school and our staff cares about our students and love to see them learn and smile and supports them and meet our children where they are and if needed support they do their best. Ive even notice there is no toilet seat covers in none of the students restrooms and barely soap or sanitizer when covid is still happening and going on and we are suppose to be keeping each other safe and healthy. But yet that is not happening due to the District not caring or supporting us ask parents, our children, or the staff and teachers who have to work, live and navigate in these conditions and while putting our trust in the SFUSD to do their job as a district and part of a diverse community.

I’m a teacher AND a parent and I’m not afraid to walk away. Of course we love our students and their families…. But you can’t spread love on toast. We deserve MORE than what we are asking for.

Support livable wages for our kids' teachers before the can't live here and all move away.

SFUSD teachers are unacceptably underpaid compared to neighboring districts and expected to perform difficult jobs instructing somewhat feral post-pandemic students, endure overly demanding and/or uninvolved parents, tolerate a costly and perpetually broken payroll system, and be micromanaged by a top-heavy district that loves to waste time on ideological debates and the absurd pursuit of instructional coherence over provision of actual support and resources for their already overburdened employees. SFUSD’s deterioration of academic performance, poor staff retention, and decline of enrollment are all connected. SFUSD is 7 years overdue on raises. Stop using media contacts to manipulate public perception. We’re onto you. Find the money. Pay your people.

My mom works as gratton as a para professional and I have two kids in sfusd. Want to support them.

I retired because of this incredibly dysfunctional, corrupt, incompetent district!

SF USD must get it's act together. Fix the payroll debacle. It's embarrassing.

We need to increase pay for educators and resources for schools across the board. SF & CA can afford it!
