Washington High School grad. Mother of Lowell student. Support our teachers and paraprofessionals! This is *not just* about salary. It's about classroom size, prep time, attracting people to our district so we have enough great support for our families. Give them the contract they deserve. Reduce admin salaries if you need to cover costs for your empower fiasco.

We need to lead the state in teacher compensation. No excuses, we are a very expensive place to live.

While I have three daughters at Lowell High School, I also worked for the district for 10 years and just left due to the Empower debacle, the offensively, small, yearly, pay increase, and the shortage of teachers, which lead to all sorts of uncertainty! Pay teachers and all school staff the living wage they deserve!

All Classified staff and Teachers need this increase more than anyone else. They all work so hard to best support the students and teach and help their students. Para's are overworked and stressed because their role is overwhelming. Para's are being beating, verbally abuse by their students. Please support them and give them what they need the most is a sufficient pay raise to live in San Francisco.
