We the students of SFUSD public schools, in order to form a more perfect environment for education, call for attention to the limited financial resources, prevent further budget cuts, and raise awareness to the decreasing quality of American education, do ordain and establish this petition for the educational budget crisis. We hold the basis to instigate this petition to be self-evident, that all students hold the rights to receive maximal education, to oppose what is being taken away from them, and speak out in affairs that concern their well-being. - That to secure the students these rights, public schools were formed to provide free education for everyone. - That whenever any form of proposal becomes an obstacle to these ends, it is he right of the students to let our disagreements be heard, to alter the quality of our future education and knowledge. When the demand for money is high, indeed, it is necessary to change the financial plans as the help the country's economy rise up once again to high standards. But when the value of education for all the future generations to come is underestimated, time will tell that this action, this decision will not only harm the students, but will harm country whole - For we are the future, the hope, and this country's most valuable resource. We, students of America, write our own destinies and therefore, there is no excuse to sit idly and watch our opportunities to become the best we can slip away. Together with our best efforts towards our future, we sign this petition to let our plea be heard.
