The army should be ashamed for what it is doing to his hero.

Military tactics and a personal moral bering collided with this honorable man. Do not punish him for not turning away when a child is raped. Our humanity is at stake here. MJ Pierce

This man and his brother in arms (Capt. Quinn) stood up for what is right and confronted evil head on. It's time we stand up for them. Thank you for your sacrifices and bravery.

I support these soldiers 110%! These Afghan/Iraq men/soldiers have went against us (US and other countries fighting the war on terror) and we are suppose to take it! Just as we're not suppose to protect this child these great soldiers defended! Ludicrous! Absolutely ludicrous what Obama and our idiotic government have done since 2008! I'm absolutely ashamed of this president and the ignorance that voted for him , not once but twice! Now we are disfunctional and viewed as weak! WTF

SFC Martland and the other soldiers who stood up for the innocent victims are the best of what America has to offer the world. These honorable men and women need our unlimited support.

I am disgusted by the action of the US Army in this incident. I knew several Green Berets when I served in the 70's just after the Nam. Anyone of those men would have killed that piece of Shit. To serve in Special Forces takes a extreme level of physical and mental commitment. Few members of today's american youth have that ability. Someone in a Fortune 500 Company should seek out Mr. Martland and offer him Work.

There are some things that should never be tolerated. There is such a thing as right and wrong, good and evil. When SFC Martland confronted this man and realized that there would be no justice for the boy and that this man would certainly rape again he took action. The truth is SFC Martland should never have been commanded to stand by and condone an atrocity that by his inaction would condemn his soul and leave the innocent undefended. The real shame is found in the chain of command that would issue such an order. Those who deliver such an order are guilty by complicity and as such should be brought up on multiple charges of rape. In the signing of this petition I am also calling for an investigation of those officers and that charges may be brought against them. In the war crime trials of WWII there were officers who defended themselves by saying they were only passing on the command they were given, nevertheless, they were guilty of the evil their command confirmed. May God bless Sgt. Martland and all those men and women who stand not only for our Constitution but also, like those first patriots, for what is right and good.
