SFC Charles Martland was doing a good deed, I would have done the same thing. The man is in a war zone. Unbelievable!!! I am glad I got my time and got the hell out. But they will keep Sgt. Bergdahl around and .do nothing for being a deserter. The system is broke. LET HIM GO ON WITH HIS CAREER!!!

The Hypocrisy of our current military leaders, especially the commander in chief never ceases to amaze me. How they can rationalize the swap of Berghdal, while subjecting this hero to such a humiliating discharge after years of honorable and selfless service is inexcusable. The politicization of our troops bears the same nihilist behavior as the Afghan pedophile. There are so many others ways they could have managed this incident. I am so glad I am no longer in the service.

A MAN like SFC Charles Martland who is willing to go down in flames for defending those who can not defend themselves exemplifies the type of moral warrior our armed forces should aspire to be and deserve to be lead by.
Charles Martland is the type of man this nation needs more of.

SFC Martland is a patriot ! He is a "soldier's soldier " He was standing up for the children. The US DOD used to stand against human rights violations like the rape and abuse of children in Afganistan! I am a vet and if they kick SFC Martland out of the US ARMY it will futher exemplify how nefarious the Obama administration is: maintaining political correctness over protecting the innocent people in war zones !

This can only be described as tragic. For a US Army Special Forces soldier to be reprimanded, or even approached about such an issue, other than to be commended, is disgusting. I served 6 years in the United States Army, including tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is a real issue that occurs more than anyone would ever care to know, it's actually quite common and culturally accepted, but buy force and intimidation, not by choice. One of PRIMARY DUTIES was to protect the innocent Afghan civilians who could not protect themselves, A STANDING ORDER. This is a perfect example of Obama's weakness and desire to appease our enemies and further weaken our ability to protect ourselves. WAKE UP AMERICA

The Pentagon does the bidding of the Commander In Chief. The four stars are as weak as him. They should be resigning in protest of this and many other bad decisions.

This is absolutely ridiculous! Who the hell would turn their back on a child being abused? I would hope all of us would do what Martland did. He would have been a coward if he turned his back, but he did what he was trained to do and that is to protect! It doesn't matter where this boy is from; he is a child, a CHILD for God's sake, that needed someone to help him! Charles Martland did the right thing and is a hero! Punishing good actions is ass backwards. He did the right thing by not turning his back. After all, apathy is evil's best friend.

The commander-in-chief should order the Army to reinstate Martland but he won't because he is a weenie. I hope that, in the end, Martland will prevail.

A brave man standing up for an abused child and his mother should be honored, not punished, for that act.

There is a difference between what's Right and what's Wrong, obviously this soldier knew the difference and stood up for those that could not.
This is a disgrace, this Wrong must be made Right!
We all have a moral obligation as humans to do what is Right and to intervene when there is Wrong doing, just as this man did!
A correction must be made to overturn this gross incompetent decision.
Thank you,
Mark L.
