The military swear in when they join and swear to protect and defend the constitution of the United States from both foreign and domestic enemies. As I see it SFC Martland was defending not only the honor and integrity of himself, and his unit but the United States as well. Rape and murder is morally and legally wrong and I salute you for your courage to stand up for what is right and not to cave into doing what was politically correct as your superior officer's did.

that sort of disgusting behaviour should not be tolerated at all in any country. no wonder their children are so screwed up. Charles did a very great thing saving that child from a pig. this is not acceptable that this distinguished soldier should be negatively treated for doing something that everyone should be doing. PROTECTING CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!, is this world so so so sick that it will allow children to be abused and killed to keep relations with afghanistan on good terms. this man did a really great thing. leave him alone and any other soldiers who have done similar great things.

Since when does the USA allow children to be abused and told to look the other way. We cannot let this abuse continue. Abuse is abuse doesn't matter what your religion is. SFC Martland should get a medal not reprimand for standing up for whats right. We are not a country of child molesters and we shouldn't allow it anywhere!

What a breakdown in military to allow illegal activities to happen on our own military installations and then to prosecute the only man with the nads to do something about it. I understand the need to maintain military order and avoid vigilante justice, but I am so proud of SFC Charles Martland for defending the defenseless and not allowing such a horrible injustice to stand unanswered.

This is an outrage. ..a decorated Green Beret being kicked out for defending a child! At least there is 1 MAN in the outfit! I can't believe they would order our military to look away while they Molested children! God will punish all!
