I am an honorably discharged Navy veteran who served in the middle east years ago. I am absolutely appalled with the political process that is creating such havoc on SFC Charles Martland's stellar military career. His actions for striking a child rapist should have earned him a medal. I absolutely can't believe that the U.S Army officials and the weak politicians who support SFC Martland's condemnation for his heroic action are doing such harm to an American hero. They should be ashamed of themselves. It is absolutely disgusting what they are doing to this man.
I pledge my support to my fellow veteran in any way I can. God bless the good people of America who support SFC Marland, and thank God for Representative Duncan Hunter who is leading the fight to restore SFC Marland's heroic career.
The America I grew up in would not have allowed this to happen. General George C. Patton and General Douglas MacArthur would never have let this happen to such a fine patriotic American!

Im a disabled veteran and im sick and tired of good honorable soldiers being made examples of. This man should be praised for his moral conviction as well as standing up for the innocence of a boy and his mother.

Where is the 'honor' of our military leaders. When my father was alive and serving his country, far more would have been done to this piece of dirt who raped a child and beat a woman... and HIS command would have thrown him a party for doing it! STOP showing the world that we are willing to turn the other way regarding serious crimes just to avoid hurting some one's feelings! we are NOT the PC-weak-minded-cowards-afraid-to-offend country.. we are the USA and we stand for something! STOP THIS MADNESS.

Instead of discharging SFC Charles Martland for doing what's right, he should be given a medal for standing up to that corrupt Afghani police officer. The raping of children cannot ever be tolerated, regardless of who the rapist is or what he believes is socially acceptable.

It is a sad world in which we live whete the acts of a criminal and pedophile are secured from just actions. The motto of our USSF is to "free the oppressed." This is meant for all oppressor to include children who are being brutalized. Where did our leaders get their information on what criminals should be given favor and our heroes demonized!

People will analyze his actions for years but he had only seconds to act. There are no "do overs" in the real world, especially in combat. This guy is a hero, fighting a war there to keep it from coming to the street you live on. Laugh all you want but it's people like SFC Martland who are saving America from enemies foreign and domestic.
