I wish I could hug Charles Maryland because he did the right thing. If we dare to imagine being a child in that part of earth, perhaps we'd all praise what that wonderful brave good kind man did! I'm praying for Charles to be blessed for what he did!

SFC Charles Martland is a hero and should be honored!!. It is an embarrassment for the US military to have treated him like a criminal.

Sad, angry and speechless ! Mr. Martland did the right thing. I cried when I heard this story. Our nation's leaders may have gained the whole world through their evil corruption but have lost their souls. Fools! And their supposed to be leading us? Why are we spending our valuable resources, human and financial , to defend such a barbaric "culture"?

Anyone who disagrees with what SFC Charles Martland did should be removed from their position of authority as they are condoning child abuse.

Prior boatswain mate 3rd class. I know what he is going through with the military politics. I was in a similar situation and it didn't go as well.

So, the Commander-in-Chief would have this soldier ignore the rape of this boy? Wow. The buck stops there, right? I'd like to see his explanation to the mother. Thank you, SFC Charles Martland, for doing the right thing.

What has our country come to if a decorated American soldier gets thrown out of the army for defending a helpless child?

More soldiers should stand up to these incidents as witnessed or known in Afghanistan and elsewhere and be rewarded for it, not punished,

The united states should not punish an American for acting like an American and Protecting an innocent child from any kind of abuse.

one wonders why our Army no longer supports the actions of soldiers whose total focus is to assist those who cannot defend themselves and then is punished by his own command. We have lost all ethics.

In the America I was born in this hero would have been given a medal. In baraks current version of our nation , Sgt. Martland will be offered as a sacrifice on the alter of political correctness in order to placate Muslim Savages. God help us all
