It is unconscionable to bring ANY charges against this soldier for doing what any normal minded human being should do, when confronted with the evidence and circumstances involving that piece if shit Afghan Police Officer.

As a medically retired Sgt. U.S.M.C I find it repulsive that there is even a need for a petition for said incident. When I took that Oath, the short lament terms was to take care of the American People, up too and including giving my life. It would be unconscionable for this to happen to this Veteran. Please remember the Oath you took. It's for the American People!!! Not for your political gain. Your political gain, if that's what your looking for, would be to now take care of him!!! Why would you ask a hero/warrior to sit on the sidelines? Let him stay!

SFC Martland, should be left alone and should get a big thank you from our commander in chief. this makes me sad that our commander in chief could even begin to put his nose into this matter. SFC Martland as former U.S Army enlisted person I stand behind your actions. i think anyone of would.

It's stupid acts like this that will get non-politicians elected next election. Do the right thing and stop the anti-military anti-police hug-a-thug mentality.

It's past time to stand up for our Armed Forces, and stop this administration.

This man/soldier should receive a medal for what he did. There is no way he should be kicked out for what he did. Our president has done far worse crimes that he should be in jail for, and they have not kicked him out of office.

We cannot continue to turn our backs on our service men and women - we put them face to face with evil every day and cannot expect them to turn a blind eye. Had this been here in America, he would be hailed a HERO!!

SFC Charles Martland should not be punished for his action against a child rapist. He is a hero and should be commended.

We're teaching our service members to stand up against those countries that are oppressing their own people, yet when a soldier stands up against the rape of a boy and the beating the boy's mother received for trying to protect her, he is kicked out of the Army. How does this make any sense? Reverse the order and allow the soldier to continue he's service to our nation. If we had more people like him running our nation, maybe we wouldn't be on the verge of self destruction as a nation.
