It is a travesty to persecute this man for protecting a child. He should be restored to his position and commended.

I'm a retired USMC and current Deputy Sheriff and I personally find this not only shocking but shameful for what our government is putting this man through.

when one is sacrificing for another country's freedom it needs to include the victims of monsters....regardless of some law, article, hand shake deal. I would have expected my soldier son or daughter to do the same.

I am outraged at this. America and Americans should stand up for whats right. Not for whats political.

Our service men and women are trained to protect the people of the regions to which they are assigned. This man did as he was suppose to do and should be receiving a Medal of Honor from the president of his native country, anything less is a gross oversight. Thank you sir for your service and valor.

This is beyond comprehension, what this soldier did was what any person with a shred of decency would do !!!! God bless him Americans will never give up till he is given justice!!!!!!

This soldier should be commended for his action and not punished. The western men are brought up thinking they must protect the weak and this is how he reacted.

The honorable deserves an equally honorable defense. It should be the commander in chief that will abandon the honorable that needs to be discharged and involuntarily separated from his position.

If your child was being sexually molested or abused wouldn't you want someone to protect them?

We have given our military an imlossible task. We need to support them or bring them home. Atrocities require human act. He should be given a medal.

This is beyond shameful and I request that all charges be dropped and that he be restored to his full rank and duties.
