Whatever happened to the greatest military in the world??? This is shameful and pitiful.

Good people should not be kicked out for doing what is right!!!

Please release SFC Charles Maitland. As the daughter and niece of decorated war veterans who served and received Purple Hearts and 21 gun salutes, I respectfully request that you release him and return him to full active duty status with NO further repercussions. This man was doing the honorable thing. He deserves to continue his career and service to our country./ Just think if it were Your son and wife that he were protecting!

I don't know what happened to the great Army we had only a few years ago. It was killed somewhere along the way.SFC Martland should be getting a medal for doing what was right.

Give the man a medal and offer him a million dollar bounty on the scum's head, i'll furnish the bullets.

I believe he should get a Medal of Honor. Praise God for those that will fight and defend those that are not able to. The other Iraqi soldier should be punished!!!

No soldier should be punished for living the by the Army Values which were instilled into him. From what I've read they built the ideal soldier and are punishing him for having a heart. Let him serve and let him be what more Americans should strive to become.

I am Ashamed of those military leaders that would take any other action against this stellar serviceman and fine decent human being. After all the negative hateful things that have had no problem finding their way into the media, when something good finally slips out that most people in the world would cheer about, the leaders of our military would take a rapist, pedophile, torturer's words above anyone, let alone a decorated soldier, is reprehensible.
