SFC Charles Martland did the honorable thing. Do not punish this good man's heartfelt deed. I am once again dismayed by the Army's actions in this case- Martlan likely saved that kid's life.

Right is right regardless of policy. How politically correct would you be if it was your brother and mother? I think the SGT and team showed great restraint, I'm not sure if it had been me the "offrnded" would have been breathing to make his complaint.

This wonderful, caring person has devoted his life to help and protect all, here and where ever he was asked to go. He was doing what was asked of him by stepping up to protect the kids. Why is he being punished for doing his job? Totally unfair. Why would anyone want to join our military if this awful treatment continues?

It is absurd to remove this decorated hero from the US Army. As a veteran I am troubled by the actions of those in charge today. In the not so distant past this guy would have been justified in his actions. We have allowed political correctness to overshadow common sense. What is happening to this once great nation?
