I wish to add my name to the list of signatories that is requesting that current action by the Army to terminate the career of SFC Martland be stopped.

The man was doing his job, in my opinion. We should have zero sympathy for rapists -- especially child rapists.

This Green Beret should be honored for what he did seems our Military is all turned around and backwards. This is nonsense, I commend his action as I'm sure the people he aided do.

SFC Charles Martland is an honorable man and soldier. He is an example of what a U S soldier should be. He defended the innocent by his actions and should not be punished. Allow him to continue to serve!

Do the honorable and moral thing. Give this hero a medal, not a subpoena !

You should be pinning a medal on him. Hearts and minds, remember ? Our military throughout history has been there to defend those incapable of defending themselves, SFC Martland was just following this proud tradition.

SFC Martland should be praised for his military service to our country and for his actions against a rapist. He deserves and should be able to remain on active duty as long as he chooses.

The Army should be honoring him, not putting him out for what he did. What is wrong with his leader? Perhaps that's the one who should be relieved!

SFC Charles Martland is a good American. This is a travesty. I have worked a little bit with SFC Martland and I am very troubled by this situation. I think SFC Martland is an upstanding American warrior.

How does one man's version of the incident override two men's versions? Did they question the boy and his mother ? Sounds like a very bad U.S. Army investigation.
