SFC. Charles Martland has DEDICATED his life to protect and serve. He passed the arduous Green Beret testing that only a few can complete. I am the daughter of a U.S. Marine that fought in Vietnam. I am a grand daughter of a man that fought and survived the Battle of the Bulge. Who also took over a nazi train with boxcars full of innocent Jewish families on their way to their deaths saving countless lives. And my military blood lineage goes back to this countries conception.
I am also a domestic abuse and rape survivor. I get to say SURVIVOR because I live in the United States and those who committed these deeds were held accountable. Ash Carter - and the rest of you pulling the puppet strings, since WHEN is it okay to protect the criminal and not the victim. Would you all sitting in Washington be more pleased with a mother tortured and viciously murdered for simply speaking out against the heinous acts committed on her son? Would you in Washington be more satisfied for that young boy to suffer more vile and violent acts against him? This mother and her child RAN to the UNITED STATES MILITARY because that mother KNEW these soldiers would protect her and her son. Standing there with rope burns on his wrists.
Let this GREEN BERET STAY! I can't believe this country that thousand have died to protect, thousands have lost limbs to protect. I would be sitting here writing a letter begging my government to make the right decision. Ash Carter. What would you have chosen those men to do if that was your wife and your son? Or, does this child not fit the famous Obama narrative "he could have been my son". You know costing SFC Martland's career is wrong. If this results in a dishonorable discharge. He will have lost all he had worked for. A special forces officer isn't chosen to be SF. They sign up, and EARN it. Do any of you in the Washington machine have any soul left? It most certainly doesn't seem so. God help this country if you all in your

It is embassing to even think this could happen in our U.S. He is a hero and should be given a medal not the treatment he is getting. Shame on who ever (commander in chief) is making this decision.

This man is a hero and should be celebrated, not punished. What he did is heroic, brave and deserves our praise.
This is an injustice that should be addressed!
