I am proud of SFC Martland's actions. We train our military to follow rules of engagement and direct orders. They are also expected to make split decisions to protect themselves and others. What this man did for this woman was heroic and he should not be punished. Compassion for our fellow man/woman cannot be excluded. Please fight for this soldier to continue his good work in serving our country proudly.

SFC Charles Martland is a Green Beret in good standing with a clean record. He let the pedophile live, so he isn't perfect. But he showed more restraint than I would have.
