This is a travesty that we would throw an outstanding soldier like this under the bus for a corrupt cop that broke the law. The same law that he appealed to when he faced ramifications for the crime he committed in the first place!

A man of honor and integrity should not be made a scapegoat by this administration. Rep. Hunter, we are counting on you to do what you can for this fine example of our military!

This should not even be an issue. I am a retired 20 year veteran of the Air Force, and if I were faced with his situation, I would have done the same thing. We are trained to serve and protect, and that is exactly what he did. He should get a Medal. And if he is booted for this, it will be a complete disgrace to him, his family and soldiers everywhere.

I am horrified to learn of the way the U.S. Army is treating SFC Charles Martland, a Green Beret who has served his country and lead his fellow soldiers with loyalty, bravery and integrity. The incident that is being labeled a "black mark" against SFC Martland should instead be held up to others as an example of moral courage and good sense.
