WHY DO WE SUPPORT A NATION OF CHILD RAPISTS AND CHILD MURDERERS, WHY?? Please answer that question Mr. Obama? Stop re-naming Mountains and pay attention to what you have done to the world. In the last 8 years the entire world has descended into complete madness. From daily mass public killings in squares to, kidnapping and child rape and murder. Simply outrageous that we have allied ourselves with a nation of child rapists. This soldier should get a medal and his superiors who condoned this should be thrown out of the army immediately. We are the nation that pushed the idea of "Unlawful Orders" at Nuremburg.

I understand sovereignty of nations and not intervening but when it comes to human right violations sovereignty goes to the wayside. I support the action of SFC Martland and I encourage his leadership to intervene on his behalf.

I respect the fact that the full story is usually not reported, so I'll just say that I hope (and expect) that the decision makers look carefully into this matter. The SFC deserves our support and respect, and if he made an error in judgment, all things should be taken into careful consideration. This dismissal should not be politically motivated.

Punishing SFC Martland for his moral values is just plain wrong. Orders be damned. God help us if we ever order our soldiers to turn a blind eye to honor killings or ethnic cleansing "because it’s an Afghan custom." In this, the 21st century, our soldiers must be able to exercise moral leadership. If not the US soldier, who then?

Considering how our young men and women are dying to protect people in other countries, the least we can do is stand by SFC Martland as he was simply behaving in a manner that any civilized individual person would have done in similar circumstances

SFC Martland stood up for what he believes in, as any self-respecting Amirican would have. He needs to be applauded for his actions and restored to his Army Spec Forces unit. This has been a gross miscarriage of justice and needs to be corrected immeiately.
