Our Military should give Mr. Martin and Mr. Quinn a parade, but once again we do the WRONG THING, WHY IS THAT??? WHAT THESE MEN DID WAS AN ACT OF COMPASDION, HUMANITY, AND PRIDE, UNLIKE THE COWARD POLICE OFFICER. WHO ARE WE TRYING TO SEND A MESSAGE TOO?? THE PEOPLE WHO ARE KILLING OUR SOLDIERS FOR NO REASON??? THE U. S. GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO TAKE THEIR BALLS OUT OF THEIR PURSE AND START SUPPORTING MORE MEN LIKE THIS, THEN MAYBE WE HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN THE EAR ON TERRORISM, IF NOT WE WILL CONTINUE TO BE A LAUGHING STOCK AND THESE SICKOS WILL GET THE MESSAGE THAT WE WILL ALLOW THEM TO GETCAWAY WITH ANYTHING. GROW A PAIR , AND REGAIN THE RESPECT WE LOST WITH BUSH JR'S LIES OF W.M.D.

Former Marine no way in hell is the military getting my kids to join. Really the Afghan police officer should've ben shot in the head. Read band of brothers and actually learn how we won respect and won wars.

I can't stand how the Military under our present Coward in Chief continually turns its back on our soldiers and continues to weaken the Military. Reinstate and remove all charges against proud American Soldier SFC Charles Martland.

Charles and his brotherhood are bright, highly trained professionals who often do dirty work and must be respected and not judged and destroyed for a minor infraction. Reinstate and clean his record. An American hero!

This country should be proud to have men like SFC Martland in uniform. To remove him from the service would be a travesty.

This is an insult to our men and women in uniform. Do not destroy what this honorable man has worked for. Stand with him and commend him for his actions.

Col. Steve Johnson states that local (Afghan) customs should be respected in this case, even though we disagree with the morality of those customs. Col. Johnson ... with all due respect ... you sound like an Obama butt kissing pencil pushing administrator. I guess the British should have used that argument with the Americans in 1776. Using the same logic, I guess the Japanese were within their right to beat and rape the Chinese during WWII. 'Local customs' trump 'morality', ... isn't that what your saying Col. Johnson? ... the Obama butt kissing Col.

I believe SFC Martland showed INCREDIBLE restraint in not killing the Police official. Just because it is customary doesn't mean we should be allowing, much less CONDONING their SICK practices. This man should be given a medal.

He's a hero in every sense of the word. Give him the recognition and thanks he deserves. Discharging him based on what he did to save that boy would be going against everything we as a country stand by and strive to be. He was fair and protective. Exactly the type of men and women that I want representing and protecting my country.
