I am proud of SFC Martland. He has proven to Afghan natives that American Service people CAN be trusted to address barbarity. Some day that trust may save many lives

A miscarriage of justice. I say this as an Army veteran and a retired 26 year Chicago Police Sergeant. SFC Martland did what needed to be done.

If this man is not awarded rather than punished, our country should be so ashamed.

I do 100% support SFC MARTLAND against wrongful prosecution. My elected leaders and leaders of the military that would abandon him for this act of justice totally disgust me.

We have been taught to protect the weak and then we do so and our own government wants to screw a soldier over for doing so.
Where is Obama now with his pardons.

Please let Sgt. Martland remain in the service of our country. He deserves our thanks and appreciation. This is a total injustice.

I am disgusted with the powers that be. This man defends not only the Americans that he was sent there to defend, but is also moral enough to defend the indigenous people who are not able to defend themselves. You mean his own country doesn't have his back?? He is over there and may even give his own life to defend our freedom and we "do not " have us back.....I'm ashamed of my country as far as this matter goes. How can the person who made this decision sleep at night??

The fact that this honorable man is being drummed out of the Army makes me physically ill. What is wrong with "the powers that be"? This man should be praised for standing against the evil he saw. I am ashamed of my so called leaders.

A man raping a boy and beating a woman goes unpunished. The one who has the moral outrage is, instead punished. Punish the truly guilty man and let SFG Charles Martland continue to serve.

This man should be praised not shunned by the military. I understand that the military doesn't want their soldier to be the judge, jury, and executioner but he shoved the man down. That's all he did. He should be getting a medal for holding back his emotions and hatred.
If the committee that decides Mr. Sargent First Class Martlands fate was faced with the same situation what would they do? I would hope that they would stand up for what's right like this fine soldier!!

As a father of a 15 year old, I'm interested to the outcome of this case. If this man isn't reinstated no way in hell will I ever let my son serve this country.

Disgraceful that he's even being considered for removal.
