Coming from a Psychotherapy background I absolutely support therapy services being provided by FPS however, providing therapy for sex offenders opposite a secondary school, a few yards from a primary school and with a playground and football club a short distance away is extremely short sighted and concerning. Local residents were not given any information about FPS using this building in Sallynoggin for such a purpose. It wouldn't be tolerated in other residential areas with similar amenities so it shouldn't be assumed that it would be tolerated in Sallynoggin either.

A Paedophile help Centre providing help/ counselling to the perpetrators across the road from a Primary school - Secondary school and around the corner from a creche??? - Not very smart or safe - if these services need to be set up do it away from such buildings and such areas - put it somewhere else like on Spike Island - their is no help or care for any of these - waste of time and resources and putting local people/children at risk at the same time - putting a Paedo/sex attacker help Centre beside schools or playgrounds is like putting an alcoholic in charge of a Brewery - it wont help them
