Sex offender being placed in a house between two young families! WE NEED YOUR HELP

VIOLENT sex offender being placed after no warning and being told that he can’t be within 1500 feet.... it’s funny how that changed?! Let’s use our heads here people!

Rehabilitation attempts of these individuals has shown to fail time and time again. How others believe these types of criminals magically "get better" is baffling. Are we seriously going to relying on medications and/or other minimal precautions from preventing them from harming others again? It's a huge gamble to say the least and no family should live in fear because of it. Putting them in ANY area is questionable, but an area with children close by is straight up ridiculous. What is the thought process here? Seriously?

Extremely shady action. Notifying the neighbors at 10 pm?!? There has to be somewhere better.

Should never be placed in a family neighborhood.

I couldn’t even imagine having someone so sick so close, as I myself am a mother of two beautiful babies. This is disgusting! I hope this gets stopped!

Being a child victim of sexual abuse I fully understand the fear these parents are feeling. It’s absolutely absurd they would allow someone, especially with this intense record for a background, to live “peacefully” next to these families!

I pray they move him!

The articles didn't give the detailed background. This type of person should not be placed close to children or any one that might be "temptation" to reoffend.

Placing this person right in the middle of two places with soon to be small children is nothing less then malicious. If indeed they were told it had to be 1500ft away, why is less then 100ft ok?!

We just bought a house on this street and move in next month. Not sure We would have gone through with the purchase if we would have known this.

My children are often spend time on Arrowhead Shores and I am appalled that this man will be living so close to so many children! This is NOT OK!

If Rock County had done their job they would have know their are young children within 100ft of this house. This is not a person we want in our neighborhood having access to watching our children.

It appears that the Rock County Sheriffs Department is trying to hide something with this convicts placement and not giving residents in the neighborhood time to respond to this matter. I live in Arrowhead Shores neighborhood and was notified at 9:45 pm on Friday night August 16, 2019 when a Sheriffs Department Officer rang my doorbell and gave me a letter dated that day from Sheriff Troy Knudson when I asked if we can protest this choice of location he said no we can,t as the Sex offender and kidnapper was being placed in this house on Monday.. Seems like a pretty shady move by the Sheriffs Department.. The letter says to contact Captain Jude Maurer 608-757-7944 and the DCC at 608-758-6075. This is just extremely poor judgment by the Sheriff to place this Voilent Sex Offender and Kidnaper next door to children

This was and is so very wrong of the Sheriffs Department!!It needs to be changed!!

Sex offenders should not be placed near children.

I also have kids and live 2 houses down. I want my kids to be safe playing outside and not having to worry who could be walking by or stalking them.

Stop this from happening. Parents have a right to keep their children safe.
