The administration can no longer ignore the scale of this consensus regarding district curriculum. I am currently finalizing a formal briefing for the school board members to demand a dedicated hearing on these policy adjustments.

its crazy how outdated the current health curriculum is. we really need to be covering real world topics like healthy relationships and consent instead of just pretending they dont exist.
I've learned almost nothing about safe sex and birth control options through our health education class. I don't understand why something so important can be barely discussed. I don't care if sex is a taboo topic, especially in school, but students need to know. Our health education classes need to be changed to better educate the next generation of students!

I'm so happy someone is finally trying to make our sex education system better! I would encourage you to also fight for the inclusion of education about/for LGBT+ people in your pursuit to reform our health classes. The exclusion of LGBT+ people in our sex education is a huge problem in our schools and society, along with the issues you're addressing in your petition already. Thank you and good luck!!
