Working privately and through my other work I have seen a number of situations where families and individual children have had on going struggles and anxiety and stress which could have been avoided. / alleviated if Plymouth / Devon had increased provision for young people with ASC. Aware there are some provisions within some mainstream areas but often require SEN and the places can be over subscribed or short term solutions.

An urgent need for children that have their own free school for their special needs with high functional brains. These children are talented and gifted let us embrace it and support them and their families. I live in Hope

Because every child should get the education best suited to his/her needs.

My son suffers with autism. There is such a lack of resources in plymouth for children who suffer from this condition. Specialist schols are needed.

My son has Aspergers also and has access to an education due to provisions in place in his school here in the north. My nephew has been failed thus far, same diagnosis but no provisions to acccomadate him in Plymouth. This is desperately needed for him and others like him.

My 12 year old son in Plymouth has High functioning autism and has not been in school for 6 mths due to being totally unable to cope in a mainstream environment. However he is not suitable for existing specialist schools due to his high intelligence. Huge gap in services, that is failing our young people with high functioning Autism/Aspergers. A free school for children with these very specialist needs is desperately needed in Plymouth
