SUBJECT: URGENT REQUEST FOR IMPROVED MUNICIPAL SERVICE DELIVERY IN EERSTERUST

We, the undersigned residents of Eersterust, hereby formally raise our concerns regarding the ongoing challenges in municipal service delivery within our community.

Despite numerous attempts to engage with the relevant municipal departments, the following issues persist:

KEY CONCERNS

1. Water Supply Issues

• Frequent water outages / low pressure

• Delayed response to leaks and pipe bursts

2. Electricity Problems

• Unscheduled power outages

• Slow response to faults and infrastructure failures

3. Waste Management

• Illegal dumping not being addressed

4. Roads and Infrastructure

• Potholes and damaged roads

• Lack of maintenance of sidewalks and stormwater systems

Overgrown bushes in the Community

5. Public Safety Concerns

• Poor street lighting

• Lack of visible law enforcement and by-law enforcement

The roaming of Cattle

IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY

These ongoing issues negatively affect our quality of life, pose health and safety risks, and hinder economic activity within Eersterust.

OUR DEMANDS

We respectfully request that the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality:

• Provide a clear action plan with timelines to resolve the above issues

• Improve communication and feedback to residents

• Increase maintenance and monitoring of infrastructure

• Ensure accountability of relevant municipal departments

REQUEST FOR ENGAGEMENT

We further request a formal meeting between community representatives and municipal officials within 14 days of receiving this petition.
