Local government needs to provide democratic and accountable government for community, and also promote economic development to our communities as stated in the Constitution.

I am very disappointed with the way our municipality has deteriorated. Nothing is functional and the ordinary commuters are the ones suffering. The roads are a mess, the water challenge is unacceptable, refuse collection is Done once in a while, the mayor and her council need to vacate the office as soon as yesterday

Section 152 of the constitution of the republic of South Africa outlines the objects of local government and key amongst them is the provision of quality sustainable services. The inability of our municipality to conform to this constitutionally entrenched right is an indictment to those who purport to represent the interests of our people and tantamount to the biggest betrayal of the commitment the party of the revolution has made in its manifesto since 1994.For so long have we allowed the criminal network to steal with impunity to an extent of the state of decay our municipality has been subjected to.Its enough.

DLM must improve infrastructure maintenance, residents must consume clean water and roads are delapidated so as the public facilities.
