We own a business and reside in Encinitas, CA. It is vital that this be looked into! It is our right as people that could be directly impacted that these questions be addressed adequately. I have numerous acquaintances that have worked at San Onofre power plant. What they have shared with me leaves me extremely concerned that safety issues are not being addressed.

Please do the right thing. Consider if it was your family living in this proximity to the nuclear facility. Your grandparents, your brothers and sisters, your wife and children and your grandchildren. Do the right thing.

Are they going to do a mad max to the furtive generation , When does containers start to leak , Cuz They don’t want to pay the money to have them truck out of state . Don’t you think the taxpayers gonna pay for it anyways

We need to insist on thicker containers, properly tested for strength after being dropped or shook (as would happen in an earthquake), and a move of the burial site to someplace like the east-side of Pendleton instead of the ocean side. These simple measures would make us feel better about the situation. Edison should pay for proper remediation before they leave this miserable situation to the public (mostly our children or grandchildren) to fix. It is much better to do the job the right way the first time than to try to clean up the disaster.
