NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION MUST ADDRESS PUBLIC CONCERNS OVER "SERIOUS NEAR MISS" AT SAN ONOFRE

We live 25 miles from San Onofre and are concerned with the flaws in the relocation plan.

I implore the NRC to recall the Holtec canisters and ensure that the nuclear waste is repackaged in safe, thick-walled canisters and that a hot cell be installed on-site.

I dont understand how it could possible to have a dangerous nuclear waste dump right next to the ocean, and millions of people who live in the area.

I am concerned at the risk of radiation if an error occurs.

This one of thee most toxic man made substances on the planet. Simple common sense would than dictate safety first with triple redundancies.

Storing nuclear waste in thin metal sleeves and concrete blocks in the ground extremely near the water table and ocean in probable rising seas in a highly populated area is insane. It needs to be away from the ocean and in an unpopulated area is what needs to happen.

We will not get a second chance to get this right!

Nothing is more important than this!

We need to do whatever we can to find a way to safeguard our future from this nuclear waste problems.

We must preserve the safety of our children and grandchildren. Stop Burying Nuclear Waste.

The public deserves protection. Continuous (uninterrupted) on-site radiation monitoring is vital to that. And we need the cooling pools and thick casks so we can get rid of these ridiculous 5/8"-thick cans. Only then can the waste legally and safely be moved away from the beach.

please listen to logic storing nuclear waste on a fault line 100 feet from the high tide mark is NO solution. We need to find a better way to address this issue

This dangerous situation has been driven right over the people who know of the nuclear danger that awaits their future. A travesty.

This is a critical issue that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later. No more lies from the mishandling if the transfers to inadequate storage containers.
