The aim of this petition is to make serious incidents of bullying illegal in the uk. In the UK, some incidents of bullying are not classed as a crime, according to the NSPCC the statics of the amount of young people affected by cyber bullying is 38% and 31,599 children called ChildLine in the time period between 2011/12 about bullying as well as 28% of children that were asked did not tell anyone about the bullying. Young people should not have to suffer bullying throughtout school and to suffer in silence, some bullying cases are not even acknowledged and some bullies do not fear an punishment as this is not classed as a crime.

About time. my son went through hell and the school just told us they couldnt do anything because it wasnt illegal. these kids need to know there are actual consequences for their actions.
