I think my class was also told we could not toss our caps after the ceremony. We still did....Harmless act of decorating caps. Let them do it! Good Luck!

There are websites where you can buy decorations for graduation caps. A lot of colleges & universities let them do it.

As an alumni of SHS (Class of '89) I think this is a harmless act for the kids to do. As long as there is no vulgarity and obscenity why not let them show their individuality and the celebration of their hard work for the past 13 years!? Good luck!!

It harmless act to have them decorate the cap and it's a wonderful souvenir for them to have after graduation. It's also a tradition that was started long ago.

They allowed a friend of mine to decorate hers in serena with hello kitty on her cap. As long as its appropriate I don't see the issue here.
