This is a good game! It's just NOT the OTHER Mass Effect, but it's not supposed to be! There are lots of things great about it, the atmosphere of "a new beginning" being probably the best.
I believe, people just expected "the old" ME spirit, but there can't be another Shepard in the galaxy, can there?
