Please sign this petition to keep the current Hybrid II schedule at SEP. This encourages safety among students, staff, and families.

The Hybrid 2 plan split the student class into two groups: A and B. The A group goes to school Monday, Thursday, and every other Wednesday. The B group fills in the gaps. On the days they are in school, students go through a blocked schedule where classes run as long as 90 minutes. On the days they are online, students can learn lessons through ZOOM. When the lessons are done, students are able to learn and finish assignments at their own pace.

This schedule gives students the safety they need from exposure to the Coronavirus. With constant sanitation and social distancing procedures, students are given a safe environment. Not only are students at risk, but also their families. There are students with family members who are at a greater risk to the virus than others. If students return to a full schedule, they and their families are at risk of contracting the virus. Students can go to a 100% online learning plan for their safety, but they will not get the advantages they can receive from in-person schooling. With a Hybrid schedule, students can get the best of both worlds.

There are also benefits that come with the Hybrid 2 plan. The schedule gives students freedom at home to learn lessons and finish assignments at their own pace. This teaches students independence and responsibility to get their schooling done. Some things they will need down the road for college or any post-school plans. It also teaches students to accommodate the online lifestyle that might still be used by colleges and universities after graduation. This is an important skill especially with the technological advances that are being made today.

The Hybrid 2 schedule gives students the safety they and their families need as well as prepares them for the future they may face.

Please sign this petition with the students, staff, and families' health and future in mind.

We just hit 100 signatures and the administration is still pretending we are invisible. It is time to turn up the heat on the district office because they are gambling with our health while we keep our side of the bargain.

Parents and grandparents are at risk if kids come in contact with too many kids. From a house who has had our father pass away from cancer it was important to use to keep him safe from covid since his immunity was low. Doing full time will allow for less social distancing and will put people at home at risk. Thank you :)

Hybrid II is working, so why change it for 6th and up so quickly? At semester or at 4th quarter maybe but not now. My kids are 100% online now. And I am ready to send them hybrid II at quarter. But with the size of this student body at SEP and the halls being jammed packed I would have to continue with online only.

As a student who changed from remote to hybrid, I’m now in a better environment where I can learn and focus so I can avoid falling behind more.

As a grandmother and former teacher, I feel that the Hybrid 2 plan is good for students at this time. I feel that it should be revisited for the 2nd semester.

I have a high risk high school student. With lung issues the hybrid two allows us to be able to have time at school with less risk but also learn how to be self sufficient and organized as after college jobs will be work from home and online college classes. It gives them opportunity to experience what the real world will like for success

My daughter had diabetes and goes to Spring Creek 6th grade and the hybrid 2 is working so well for us and our family. I feel very safe letting her go to school with less kids and masks required. I would like the hybrid 2 model to continue

As a mental health professional, people are forgetting the negatives on mental health on returning to 100%. Kids are worried they can’t social distance and they will get sick and bring it home to loved ones. What happens to those kids who bring it home and a loved one dies. That is something I do t want my children to go through. Conferences tonight were fantastic and my kids are doing amazing. It’s working. Why mess it up. Also people have said if those families don’t like the 100% they can stay home 100%, but that doesn’t allow them to take some classes in HS nor does it allow them a safe way to see their friends.
