just an fyi that skits are not back on. administrations decision is final, no matter how unfair it is. but thanks everyone for all of your support, it stinks to have something taken away that we worked so hard on. Talismann day is still in effect, however skits are NOT.

We have made our goal :) this makes me so happy. if this goal didn't get meet I would have been really upset. Not only will this effect this years graduate but also every other class after them including mine. The yearbook staff have already put the skit together and have memorized all of their lines. They have come in early for rehearsal for who knows how long. And for the skits to be taken away a week before performance day I think is real low. Many people have pointed out that they have been going on for 50 years. Ever since the school first opened. Why take away that's been going on for that long. It's just jokes. Talisman day is for a fun relaxing time for the seniors. These skits need to go on. And everyone participating in this petition has given some good points.

As a junior and a sister of two Patriot Alumnus I would really hate to see this tradition come to an end.

I go to Mann. I don't want a tradition that made Mann a happy place to graduate from to go away.

Senior skits are traditions, if a student doesnt want to be in the skit they ask to not be in it.

Being a tradition and with skits already written, there should be a continuation of this

Mann is becoming less fun. High school is suppose to be a once in a life time opportunity. We know it's about getting our education, our future, but it should be fun along the way. Spirit week this year, we got things taken away. Our homecoming and spirit week game is on the same night, a Friday. Far from the traditional Saturday. No one goes anyways because the music and theme isn't up to date with our generation. Prom, a traditional junior senior occasion on a Saturday night is not strictly to seniors on a Friday night. Mayfield stresses our education, but by having prom on a Friday forcing over 100 seniors to not come or have an early dismissal to hurryingly get ready for prom isn't allowing students to focus on their education. Many of the students because even prom was so lame, with outdated music and themes that had little effort . And now, after four long hard years of stressing over exams and doing all they can to make good grades seniors are stripped from their oppertunity of acutal fun, a reward, comic relief that looks back on the year. The senior skits are fun. If students are being portrayed in the skits they are asked permission first unless no one would do it at all. In English we learn to make a fighting argument and reasons why we want something or why something should be. In social studies we learn about our right to vote. At Mann the students are the people, the teachers and staff are the senators, and Mayfield is the president. Listen to the people. Let us vote to make changes to our school to make both educated, safe, and fun environment

Senior skits are an honorary right by seniors to give a highlight to the most interesting things that have happened throughout the 4 years in high school. Why it was taken away in the first place is beyond me

The only bad thing OUR class ever did was when everyone would clap in the cafeteria during lunchin the 8th grade. C'mon Mayfield

As a parent and member of the PTA, I am very upset that after many years class of 2016 won't be albe to participate in the festivities that the classes before them got to love and enjoy. Senior year is a huge milestone in their lives and through the skits you got the reflect on the good, even the bad. Life is about looking back on your mistakes and learning from them. The senior skits are a fun way to see how things were and to never do them again. I though JL Mann was better than this but I stand corrected. I pray that when my son (class of 18') reaches his senior year all of this will be in the past and he and the rest of the children will get to participate in what they have rightfully earned through the hardwork and dedication they showed throughout their highschool careers.

Sad to change a tradition. Seems to be a lot of that this year for our graduating Seniors
