The painted and reserved senior parking spots have been a privilege of seniority for a few years now; with that being said, it is still a newer privilege that the school has been offering. With all new things comes trial and error; last year was unfortunately the error segment of that trial and error, but that does not mean that the tradition should be taken away from the class of 2027 and possibly future graduating classes. Senior parking spots are a way for students to creatively express themselves and can be seen as a positive creative outlet. Painting parking spots also opens the opportunity for collaboration between students, whether they are working together to paint each other's spots or painting matching spots with their friends. Many seniors also have the privilege of late arrival, but by 7:25 am, the majority of the parking lot is already full; therefore, if reserved parking spots are not an option, many students would be left stressing to find a parking spot and getting to their classes on time. With clear communication and guidelines, the class of 2027 would be very grateful to have their chance to paint parking spots like their friends before them have.
this is one of the only fun things we get to do as seniors. dont punish us for what other people did last year. let us paint the spots!
