Neil Punchard should be in jail. This is either illegal, or should be illegal. His actions could have enabled the murder of a DV victim. This should fall under conspiracy to murder.

I have no issues paying taxes but it makes me sick knowing I'm paying the 6-figure salary for a complete scumbag. Would love to know which station he's based at now!!

With men like Neil employed in the force how can any women or child be safe from their aggressor? He is the very reason every women should fear coming forward

The police should be held to a higher standard than civilians not be allowed to do what they please. Sending love to the victims from the US.

Repugnant that this individual has gotten away with this, and that the punishment for such egregious misuse of private information is almost non-existent. For Shame!

If this is not illegal, then it should be. And this person should definitely be sacked.

How is this even legal?!

If the decision to punish this gross breach of privacy with only a slap on the offender's wrist is justified, there is no good reason for the reasoning behind that decision not to be released; that it has not been provides no confidence whatsoever that this is not instead the result of a corrupt boys club undermining justice.

This depicts a police force and community in crisis where the ones protecting you are the ones doing you harm. State government must step up to the plate.

What a disgusting thing for any person to do, let alone a person whose JOB it is to PROTECT the community!

This is disgusting. How is this behaviour appropriate for a police officer. Doesn’t deserve to wear the badge of a Police officer.

One woman is murdered every week in Australia due to domestic violence. We CAN NOT stand by and allow excuses and so called ‘boys club’ mentality to continue. This behaviour is callous, calculating, vengeful and disturbing. There is no excuse for this officers actions and behaviour. Enough is enough. It’s time our country takes a stand.

extremely disappointed that a victim has been further victimised by the very people who are supposed to protect her.
