vulnerable people should be able to go to the police for help and feel safe as a result of this. Senior constable Neil Punchard has breached the trust of a poor innocent victim, and as a result put the lives of a woman and her children in danger. Regardless of friendships and so forth a policeman should be able to be trusted, have integrity and be able to follow procedures and protocols of the job. His actions clearly show he can not do this, and he can not be trusted. Someone of this nature, is not the type of person who should be responsible for protecting the vulnerable people who need and rely on the police for their safety and protection. i feel as a result of his actions he should be sacked.

This is an abuse of power in the highest order. He should not be allowed to continue in any police force or any other position of trust. He is a disgrace to Queensland and Australia and he deserves to lose his job and any benefits that he might be in line to receive when he leaves.

The police should be doing everything they can to prevent crime. This policeman is almost certainly ensuring that innocent people are murdered or hurt in a horrific way. He allowed a personal relationship to influence him and lost all his integrity and professionalism. SACK HIM.

I've struggled to understand why I've had limited assistance from the Police - now we know why! Clearly their side more with the perpetrator!!!
At minimum this is breach of privacy. Not only this, but should ANYTHING happen to this woman, he should be charged as an accessory!!!

This police officer has intentionally collided with a violent perpetrator to use his position to gain access to confidential information and then share this information. It is an act of grave negligence, breach of privacy and in doing so, has placed a woman in high risk, and ensuing trauma. This officer must be sacked for this!
