To all who are concerned with this issue: I feel compelled to counter the ludicrous petition requesting for Paris Hilton to be pardoned by Governor Schwarzenegger. I am neither a Paris Hilton supporter or of opposition to her; I simply feel that she should not get off or believe that she is above the law simply because of her celebrity and financial status. This petition will be sent to Governor Schwarzenegger in effort to convince him that her sentence should remain, as she is a citizen of the the state like everyone else, and should be held to the same standards. Paris has broken the law as well as the terms of her probation, and in the process could have hurt innocent drivers or pedestrians. If she is pardoned, a lessen will not be learned and this type of erratic and careless behavior will continue. Please sign and convince everyone you know to sign as well.
The petition has reached 100 signatures. I am currently finalizing a formal letter to be delivered to the Governor's office.

I am currently finalizing the formal letter to Governor Schwarzenegger outlining the legal arguments for upholding the original sentence. My focus remains on ensuring the office understands that public expectation demands equal treatment under the law regardless of celebrity status.

The current momentum confirms that the public expects accountability regardless of celebrity status. I am finalizing the formal letter to Governor Schwarzenegger to ensure these signatures are presented as a direct request for equal application of the law.

SERIOUSLY. Why should she get special treatment? It is about time she faces actual consequences for once in her life.

She put people in danger. Money should not buy you out of jail time.

Rules are for everyone. She messed up and now she needs to pay the price. Hope the Gov ignores the other side.

Celebs think they can do whatever they want. She needs to sit in that cell just like any other person who breaks the law.

Let her serve the time. Maybe she will learn something.
