Working families, senior citizens, small business owners, and individuals on fixed incomes are particularly struggling to make ends meet, with many being forced to make difficult choices between necessities.

Despite ongoing efforts to address inflation at the national level, we believe that Texas needs a more targeted and proactive approach. As a representative of the people of Texas, we ask you to take the following actions:

1. Support Legislation to Address Cost-of-Living Increases: We request that you work with your colleagues in the state legislature to introduce and support laws aimed at reducing the financial strain on Texans. This could include measures to control housing prices, tax relief for lower and middle-income families, and programs that support small businesses in maintaining stable prices.
   
2. Advocate for Relief for Working Families: Many families in Texas are finding it difficult to afford even basic necessities. We urge you to push for increased state support for affordable housing, access to quality healthcare, and enhanced food assistance programs.
   
3. Invest in Long-Term Solutions: While immediate relief is necessary, it is equally important to focus on long-term economic policies that promote growth and stability in Texas. This includes supporting investments in sustainable energy, infrastructure, and education that will create new job opportunities and reduce dependence on external factors that exacerbate inflation.
   
4. Monitor and Address Price Gouging: We ask you to use your platform to ensure that any unjustified price increases in essential goods and services are carefully monitored and regulated. While inflation is a complex issue, price gouging, especially during times of crisis, must be prevented.
   
5. Support Measures to Reduce Energy Costs: Energy prices are a significant factor contributing to inflation in Texas. We encourage you to support policies aimed at making energy more affordable for all residents, particularly those in lower-income brackets.
